Dear future participants of the competition!

Following numerous requests from participants from Russia and other countries, the organising committee decided to extend the registration period for the international moot court.

For students from Russia, registration is extended until January 20.

For students from foreign countries, registration is extended until February 5.

 In order to simplify the procedure for preparing letters for issuing invitations through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, we urge you to hurry up and register your team. If it is impossible to participate on the moot court in person, teams can participate online.

We remind all teams that the deadline for submission of memorials is February 20.

The event will take place from March 16-20.

Sergei Eremin, Partner at Nikolskaya Consulting, will be one of the judges for the final rounds of the International CJEU Moot Court.

Sergei is a partner in the sanctions and tax practice and specialises in corporate investigations.

Sergei has many years of experience advising clients on sanctions imposed on Russian entities and individuals since 2014, as well as challenging sanctions. He advises on sanctions compliance programmes and related issues.

Sergei has been involved in a number of high-profile projects and has advised numerous companies on sanctions, sanctions challenges, sanctions-related contractual work and disputes, and regulatory interactions.

Sergei graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Moscow State Law Academy (MSLA). Prior to founding Nikolskaya Consulting, he worked for 15 years at the international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

Anna Ivonina, a lawyer in the sanctions practice, will be the judge for the qualifying rounds.

Anna is a qualified lawyer specialising in Russian law. She advises corporate and private clients on EU, US, UK and other jurisdictions' sanctions regimes and has experience in sanctions due diligence, including sanctions screening and due diligence.

Anna holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSLA)
